Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs Announces Plans For Metro Valley Listening Tour Forum

​                            CHARLESTON, W.Va. (December 2, 2014) – The Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs (HHOMA) today announced  plans  for a Metro Valley Listening Tour forum Thursday, December 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at West Virginia State University’s Erickson Alumni Center in Institute. The event is free and open to the public. Local residents, community leaders and elected officials are invited to attend. 

                           “The Herbert Henderson Office of Minority Affairs is committed to advancing equality for all minorities across West Virginia, and it’s important to give individuals across the state the opportunity for their voices to be heard,” Dr. Carolyn Stuart, executive director of HHOMA, said. “Our listening tours offer safe places for residents and community leaders to engage in open discussion and voice their concerns about difficulties within their communities and offer insight on how to best and most effectively resolve these issues.”
