Derrick Grant
Derrick Grant is a senior healthcare executive, business strategist, entrepreneur, and community leader with more than two decades of leadership experience spanning healthcare supply chain contracting, medical technology, business development, operations management, and organizational leadership.
Derrick currently serves as a Regional Member Development Executive with Allied Health Solutions, a leading regional Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) that supports major healthcare systems throughout the region, including WVU Medicine, Heritage Valley Health System, Baptist Health, Mountain Health Network, King's Daughters Medical Center, and numerous other hospitals and healthcare providers. In this role, he collaborates directly with C-suite executives and healthcare leaders to develop strategic contracting opportunities, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize value across healthcare supply chains.
In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Derrick is the owner of Anniston Insight Solutions, a consulting firm that provides strategic guidance and operational support to home health, long-term care, and post-acute care organizations.
Throughout his distinguished career, Derrick has held senior leadership positions with multinational healthcare and medical technology organizations, including Sizewise Worldwide and Agiliti Health, where he led large multi-state operations, negotiated complex healthcare contracts, and managed multimillion-dollar business portfolios. His leadership experience also extends beyond healthcare, having served in upper management roles with Enterprise Holdings and the Hilton Corporation, where he developed expertise in sales leadership, operations management, customer experience, marketing, and organizational development.
A proud graduate of West Virginia State University, Derrick earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1997. He further strengthened his leadership credentials by completing the prestigious Executive Leadership Certificate Program at Cornell University in May 2023.
Derrick remains deeply committed to community service and civic engagement throughout the Kanawha Valley and the State of West Virginia. He was appointed by Governor Jim Justice to serve on the West Virginia Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission, where he helps preserve and promote the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He has also served on the Advisory Board for the College of Professional Studies at West Virginia State University and currently serves as a member of the West Virginia State University Foundation Board of Directors, helping advance the university's mission and future growth.
His commitment to strengthening communities extends across numerous nonprofit and civic organizations. Derrick serves on the Board of Directors for the East End Resource Center (EERC), the United Way of Central West Virginia, and the Reach Out and Bless Foundation, organizations dedicated to improving quality of life, supporting families, expanding opportunities, and addressing critical community needs throughout the region.
In the field of education advocacy, Derrick has served as President of the George Washington High School Local School Improvement Council (LSIC), where he worked alongside educators, administrators, parents, and community stakeholders to support student success and strengthen educational outcomes.
His dedication to leadership and service has earned widespread recognition. Former Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence of Michigan honored Derrick as a "Man of Excellence and Valor" for his contributions to leadership and community development. Additionally, United States Senators Shelley Moore Capito and Joe Manchin have presented him with personal commendations recognizing his outstanding commitment to public service and community engagement.
A man of faith and service, Derrick is a Deacon and Trustee of First Baptist Church of Charleston, West Virginia, where he continues to mentor others and support the church's mission of spiritual growth, outreach, and community service.
