Simone Thomas

Simone Thomas is a former SharePoint Administrator with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), a nonpartisan federal agency within the legislative branch of the U.S. government. She was responsible for planning, analysis, testing, migration, and implementation of web site collections for CBO’s intranet. She currently retired at the end of December 2022 after 37 years of federal service. She is a member of a working group on diversity and inclusion and as a cancer survivor she is passionately involved with health charities and participating in fundraising events.
 

Simone received an Associate of Applied Science degree from West Virginia State University in 1980. She remembered one of her favorite quotes “You are never too old and it’s never too late.” After many years, she made the commitment to further her education, enrolled at Shepherd University in 2015 and in 2017 earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Simone is married to her husband, Eric, and they have three grown children.
