Neveah Harmon

NEVEAH HARMON - MISS WEST VIRGINIA USA 2023

We are proud and excited to announce Miss West Virginia USA 2023 Neveah Harmon as one of our guest speakers at this year's Minority Business Expo! Neveah is a Marshall University student studying biochemistry and aspiring to become a pediatric physician. She started competing in pageants in 2022 and developed the skills and confidence needed to inspire women and girls to dream bigger and lead without fear.

Her mission is to teach our youth they can achieve every dream they set their mind to - no matter how far away it may seem. Neveah says by helping them with their strengths, and showing them it doesn't matter who they are, they are worthy of everything their heart desires.


Chris Alder

CHRIS ALDER - DEPUTY SECRETARY OF STATE/GENERAL COUNSEL TO THE SECRETARY OF STATE

Chris Alder is a Deputy Secretary of State and Deputy General Counsel to the Secretary of State. Chris joined the WVSOS team after 20 years in a corporate law practice focused on innovation and intellectual property.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Marshall University, and a law degree from Washington University in St. Louis. After graduate school, Chris supported emerging technologies and venture capital endeavors in pharmaceutical and electrical engineering industries where he spearheaded over $2 billion in out-licensed commercial technologies.

Under Chris’s leadership, the Business and Licensing Division has continued to prioritize innovation and technology in ways that make it efficient for businesses to succeed in West Virginia. What used to routinely take up to ten days to open a new business in West Virginia can now take less than one hour.


Kerry Ann Wilkinson

KERRY ANN WILKINSON - BUSINESS OWNER/ENTREPRENEUR

Fabulous, fearless, and focused are a few words to describe Kerry Ann Wilkinson. After coming to the U.S. with $20.00 and a suitcase to pursue an education from the University of Charleston, Kerry has made W.V. her 2nd home and accomplished becoming a successful business owner, beauty influencer, and author. Kerry’s mission for her Fab Dolls and anyone she encounters is to help them transform to new heights. A native of Jamaica, Kerry has established herself in the beauty industry worldwide.

With her colorful take on life, she has built her brand featuring a line of cosmetics, luxury hair, and hair care products. She is the proud owner of the Fab House Salon in Dunbar, WV. Here, you can find her fine-tuning her techniques and brainstorming her upcoming line of products.

While working on her master’s degree in theology, Kerry is also beginning the next step in her beauty empire; The Fab Academy. This space will allow her to influence and encourage the next generation of cosmetologists to make the world a more beautiful place inside and out.
